Terms of Service

Merci is order and kitchen operations software provided by MerciApp LLC ("we"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

The service

Merci reads catering orders you forward to it, translates them into prep using your recipe book, and produces schedules and kitchen paperwork. You are responsible for verifying orders and food safety decisions; Merci is an assistant, not a replacement for kitchen judgment.

Testing and the pilot

Through December 31, 2026 Merci is in testing. Pilot kitchens use it free, with everything on, and agree to keep their usual copy of orders while it is in testing. Features may change and things can occasionally go wrong during this period.

Your data

Your recipe book and your customers' information belong to you. Both are encrypted at rest with a key unique to your company. We never sell your data or use it to train AI models. If you cancel, you may request full deletion and we destroy your company's encryption key, rendering vault data permanently unreadable.

Fair use

No abuse, no attempting to access other companies' data, no reselling access without an agreement. We may suspend accounts that threaten the service's integrity.

Billing

Billing starts January 1, 2027. Paid plans are billed per location, month to month, at the prices published on our pricing page, with annual plans about 20% less. Kitchens live before January 1, 2027 keep their signup rate for as long as their subscription stays active on the same package. You can cancel any time; service runs to the end of the period you paid for, and we do not refund partial periods. An annual plan paid before it starts is refundable in full until the end of its first month.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 3 months.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes and we tell account owners by email.
